Surender holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK), India.
During PhD, he developed solutions to improve the Quality of Services of the Internet of Things (IoT) for applications like Smart Cities, E-Health, Smart Agriculture, Intelligent Transportation and Industries. Mainly, he explored Wireless Sensor Networks, Network Management, Energy-Efficient algorithm developments, Low-latency and High-reliability, Data management, Time-varying IoT networks, Time-series data, and Multi-sensor data fusion.
In his capacity as a Researcher, he is currently developing Artificial Intelligence solutions for Renewable Energy Markets, as well as exploring the role of the Internet of Things in improving the Demand-side Response and Flexibility in Energy Markets for several EU projects at SIN.
